Meet the Man Behind Epoch Moment Photography.

Adam Hebert.

Owner, Photographer and Videographer

My last name (Hebert)  is pronounced “eh bear” which is French Canadian as my father was born in Canada. I was born and raised in Colorado with a short 2 year stay in Canada as a kid and a long 10 year stay in California as a teen and young adult. I just realized that I’ve only lived in places that start with the letter “c” – That’s not terribly important but I literally just noticed it.

I officially launched Epoch Moment Photography in 2015 as a full time wedding and engagement photographer. I had no plan and no idea how I was going to make it all work… I just knew that this was without a doubt in my mind what I wanted to do with my life. Actually, it is what I was born to do!

So I bought a bunch of camera gear and started shooting weddings… Now here we are a bunch of years and a bunch of weddings later living my absolute best life.

I’ve always been a creative person – I used to draw, ink, and digitally color comic books, and I also did a ton of digital art and photo composites. This is where I learned composition, color theory, posing and a bunch of other related skill sets that carried over into photography. Basically I learned photography backwards than most as I learned how to edit over the last 20 years and then learned how to create images of my own.

Now I’m living my passions every day and life is just awesome.

My Style.

My shooting style is more photo-journalistic, lifestyle, and candid with a dash of fashion magazine.

I like to say that I’m an appropriately interactive photographers who like to add to the experience of the day and make stuff happen. I encourage silly and weird, I embrace crazy and adventurous, and I relish in pure love and emotion. I’m there to make you look awesome and cool as well as enjoy the day and have fun.

I operate under the simple concept of… “If you’re not having fun, then you’re doing it wrong.”

What does appropriately interactive mean? Well, exactly that. I interact with our clients and talk to their guests and play our part in the day no matter what happens… But I do so in an appropriate way based on the client and the moment. Some clients need that little extra push into a moment and some don’t… Some need the encouragement to get silly and express themselves while others don’t. I’m there to make your engagement or wedding day special and memorable. The experience of hiring me is as important as delivering high quality photos and video of all of your special moments.

By the time we finish an engagement shoot and wedding day, we’re all BFF’s. At the end of the day, I”m hugging you and your parents and your grandmas… And I high five anyone willing… I’m present with a purpose.

With posing… well… I can pose you, but I prefer not to ‘pose‘ anyone as I’m looking for a more natural interaction between you both. However; I do understand how weird it can be having a huge camera aimed at you… So I’m there to guide you into poses, situations and moments that let you be you and fit your personalities. I’m there to set the stage, make you look awesome and capture your love no matter how involved you need me to be in that moment.

I’m also there to make sure you don’t look stiff or weird… Unless of course we’re going for that hipster vibe, then stiff and weird it is!

This is not a Sears or JCPenny’s Photo Studio, so if you’re looking for boring rigid posed unauthentic photos… I’m not your photographer.
But if you’d like to have fun, play, be weird and act silly… Then you’re at the right place. Let’s do this!

My main goal in any shoot is to capture the raw emotion, personality, and the energy of your relationship, your engagement, and your wedding day and create images that you will love and be proud to share for a lifetime.

For an engagement… Treat it like a date. Just be extra lovey and only talk about your relationship. Hang out, love each other and a good time and the photos will happen naturally.

For a wedding… Well, it’s a wedding, so be at your wedding. Be present in your special day and make some memories with your closest friends and family.
